Degree in conservation biology from Wayne State College (US). Worked in the US for Caliper Lifesciences (New Jersey) as a research scientist (transgenic animal models). Promoted Genomics and Proteomics technology platforms for GE Healthcare Lifesciences in the US and Canada. Co-founder and chairman of the Center for Molecular Dynamics Nepal (CMDN), a wildlife genetics and clinical epidemiology research centre.  Co-founder of Intrepid Nepal Pvt. Ltd, a molecular diagnostics based Biotechnology Company, and Intrepid Cancer Diagnostics.  Leader of several innovative researches in Nepal, including building Nepal’s first genetic database of wild Bengal tigers through Nepal Tiger Genome Project (NTGP); heads several other conservation genetics projects. Principal Investigator of PREDICT Nepal, an emerging pandemic threat project.  Published several papers on conservation genetics, HIV/AIDS, molecular diagnosis and wildlife and human infectious diseases.
